Ottawa travel

Easily reachable by air, rail and highway, travelling Ottawa has never been easier. With recent upgrades to Ottawa International Airport, direct flights to and from many destinations in North America and abroad are now available. Major Rail and bus carriers provide convenient daily service to and from major centres across Canada. Both the rail and bus terminals are located minutes from the downtown core.

The city of Ottawa is easily accessible by major motorways. The Trans-Canada Highway (Hwy #17), which spans the country from coast to coast, passes through the city in the form of a multi-lane roadway. Referred to as Hwy #417 on a roadmap, it begins west of the city and stretches eastward to the Quebec border near Montreal. The city is also easily accessible by boat either by the Ottawa River itself, or by various arms of it.

Upon your arrival, local transportation is readily available and you will find it to be one of the easiest cities anywhere, to explore the Nation’s Capital and surrounding areas. Ottawa’s Public Transit system is there to meet your requirements, in the form of buses and light rail.
